Mederma Is Icky

Is there any alternative to this stuff? I'm using Mederma Scar Gel. After I rub it in and it dries, it peels off, like sunburnt skin - only rose-scented. Very strange.
Is Mederma the best option?
Are there others?
Anyone?

I have read that some of these scar gels can make a scar worse. Does this contain alcohol or acetone it may be causing the drying effect

Vitamin E capusules while messy can work well

    Good Luck

  2. Mederma doesn't contain alcohol or acetone but I just don't like it. The scar looks redder and inflamed after I apply it.

I'll look into the vitamin E, thanks!

So true. Don't use it. It worsened my scar too.

I have heard good things about mederma, and i used it for months after breast surgery with literally no change at all! I used invicible scars at first, and got great results..decided to try mederma. I don't know why people were raving about it because it did absolutely nothing and didn't even absorb either. I wasted time that I could have been using invicible scars instead. This stuff isn't for everyone, I know I wouldn't recommend it. I even tried it to make my uneven skin tone go away, an redness and it did nothing.

Unfortunately, I had a bad reaction to this product.
I got a terrible rash that ended up spreading and making my skin a hot mess. Be careful if you have sensitive skin. I;d rather go for hypoallergenic scar therapy.

Hi Guys. I don't really check this much anymore. You are welcome to comment though, I just can't always promise you a personal response. I do hope this blog has helped though!
